

In order to be eligible to apply for the Claims Conference Academic Fellowship Program for Advanced Shoah Studies, a candidate must be in the dissertation phase of a PhD. program that is focused on the study of the Shoah. Eligible disciplines are those in which serious research and teaching of the Shoah will make the greatest contribution to future knowledge and understanding, including but not limited to History, Political Science, Sociology, Religion, Jewish Studies and Philosophy. The university must have the necessary faculty, courses and research materials to produce first-class doctorates on Shoah studies. The Fellowship Admissions Committee will evaluate both the candidate and the ability of the candidate’s chosen institution to train Shoah scholars.
