Claims Conference Academic Fellowships for Advanced Holocaust Studies

Requirements of Fellows

Once students have been accepted into the Fellows program, the following is required of them:

  1. To be enrolled and in good standing in a PhD. program that is focused on the study of the Shoah.
  2. To study a language of Eastern Europe or the former Soviet Union necessary for the study of Shoah-related documents, or if the field of study will be focused on a particular country or region, to study the relevant language/languages of that region.
  3. To participate in an annual seminar with other fellows if required.
  4. To commit to full time employment primarily in Holocaust Studies on an academic level for a minimum of five years after receiving a PhD degree.
